Task Force

The Equity and Wellness Institute is thrilled to work with the Department of Public Health’s. Office of Health Equity Community Development and Engagement Section (OHE-CDES) to coordinate the California Reducing Disparities Project (CRDP) Phase 3 planning and design activities. We have chosen a voluntary statewide task force with the goal producing a report that will provide recommendations on the CRDP design.

The findings from the Phase 2 Statewide Evaluation Report clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of Community-Defined Evidence Practices in reducing mental health disparities in diverse, multicultural communities and reinforcing the infrastructure to deliver these services. We are excited to see what the CRDP Phase 3 design could be and are excited to invite the community to provide public input during the task force meetings. The task force meetings have been designed to ensure that diverse perspectives and communities are provided an equitable and accessible platform to speak and share insights on the varying needs of impacted communities throughout the state.

As OHE-CDES is building out its racial equity and community engagement efforts, it is imperative that they hear and partner with organizations and individuals who represent all of California’s diverse communities, especially those from communities facing the greatest inequities.
